Successful Finale Races to end the 2025 Season
The 2025 racing season concluded with the final round held at TT Assen, yeilding positive results. Despite missing races this year due to budget constraints, the primary objective for the finale was to maximize points and close the championship gap. Qualifying showed early promise, with holding P1 for a significant portion of the session. However, a strategic decision regarding tire usage led to overheating just as track conditions peaked, preventing a final flying lap when the circuit was at its fastest.
The races provided a consistent opportunity to recover ground and demonstrate competitive race pace. Race 1 saw a steady progression from P3 to a P2 finish, securing vital points for the standings by passing the championship leader. In Race 2, a technical issue forced a start from P6, but the recovery pace remained high, gaining roughly one second per lap on the leader, and again overtaking the already secure champion. While a 1.3-second advantage on the fastest lap of the race highlighted the car's potential, a lengthy safety car period and a late-race mistake limited the ability to challenge for the win in the closing laps.
The weekend’s results were enough to secure the Vice-Championship, an objective reached despite the limited track time this season. While the missed rounds inevitably impacted the final points tally, closing the gap significantly in the final weekend provides a clear benchmark for the performance level. Ending the year with the fastest lap of the finale and a second-place championship finish marks a productive and competitive conclusion to the 2025 season.
